Business Systems Analyst Level II


Status: Permanent, full-time, salaried
Salary Level: Salary based on experience level
Department: Operations/Software Support Team
Supervisor: Director of Operations
Next Level of Supervision: General Manager

SUMMARY:
Troubleshoots and develops technical solutions related to software and software-related issues for customers both external and internal. Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources. Trains customers, both external and internal, on the Overview system. Requires a bachelor's degree, 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within our field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to developing, publishing, implementing test plans, and developing quality assurance standards. Also tracks and manages development issues for both breaks and enhancements.

The individual in this role will interface with key internal users to understand and document development needs. From this documentation, the Business Systems Analyst II will interface with all levels of the organization, including Project Management, Hardware Support, Finance, and Development to ensure client and corporate needs are met in a timely manner. The Business Systems Analyst II must have the ability to communicate effectively, set appropriate expectations, conduct follow-up, and thoroughly document all communications regarding development. The position is responsible testing and distributing official software upgrade releases in coordination with the other members of the Software Support Team.

Day-to-day activities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Works closely with the Help Desk and Software Support Team to work through client and internal issues related to open software trouble tickets
  • Interacts with external customers to work through current issues during regularly scheduled conference calls that are driven by the Help Desk
  • Tests software using test scripts and provides feedback to the Development Team on new software versions and enhancements
  • Develops training schedules and itineraries for upcoming training sessions
  • Works through Network Administrator to troubleshoot and update production environments; does not directly work in production environments
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None

EDUCATION:
Required - Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required - experience with the Overview system, its architecture and hardware peripherals.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively present information to a wide range of audiences; end users, technical staff, vendors, department management, and senior management.

Must be able to:
  • Communicate technical issues with non-technical audiences, along with having excellent listening and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and internal manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and spreadsheets.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • This person must have demonstrated ability to act and learn on his/her own initiative and execute objectives without day-to-day supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
TRAVEL:
Availability to travel is required and may vary by season and activity level.

SCHEDULE:
The schedule may vary based on client needs and schedules and activity level. Some nights and weekends may be required. Comp time will be awarded based on company policy.

Analista Programmatore Delphi



Ricerchiamo per la sede centrale di sviluppo di Milano un analista programmatore da inserire in un team che si occupa di sviluppo e manutenzione di applicazioni per sistemi di biglietteria basati sul linguaggio di programmazione Borland Delphi.
 

Sulla base delle conoscenze pregresse, il candidato dovrà acquisire competenze nella programmazione in Borland Delphi nell’ambito di un processo di formazione finalizzato all’integrazione nel team di ricerca e sviluppo.

Sono richiesti :

  • Laurea o diploma in materie informatiche o equivalenti 
  • esperienza lavorativa di almeno 2-3 anni nella programmazione
  • l’utilizzo del linguaggio Delphi e della programmazione ad oggetti.
  • buona conoscenza del linguaggio SQL standard
  • Disponibilità a brevi trasferte per seguire progetti internazionali.
  • ottime capacità logiche, analitiche, comunicative e di relazionarsi in modo appropriato con tutti i livelli aziendali.

    • Sono considerati titoli preferenziali:

  • la conoscenza della lingua inglese.
  • pregressa esperienza in applicazioni Multitier, Web Services
  • Metodologia di sviluppo con l'utilizzo di oggetti, classi, interfacce , DLL

    Sulla base delle conoscenze pregresse, il candidato dovrà acquisire competenze nella programmazione in ColdFusion nell’ambito di un processo di formazione finalizzato all’integrazione nel team di ricerca e sviluppo.

    Sono richiesti :

  • Laurea o diploma in materie informatiche o equivalenti 
  • esperienza lavorativa di almeno 2-3 anni nella programmazione
  • esperienza di amministrazione di server Windows e del web server Apache.
