PA-DSS (Payment Application Data Security Standard) adheres to a specific set of multi-layer requirements that must be met in order for developed software to be compliant with the safest and most current global security standards created by the PCI Security Standards Council. A forensic testing audit is performed by a PA- DSS approved independent assessor to determine how transaction data is handled, and thereby approved to develop secure payment applications that do not store prohibited data (such as full magnetic stripe, CVV2 or PIN data) and ensure their payment applications support compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Those that are passed are added to the official list of PA-DSS-compliant applications.
Luca Montebugnoli, Chairman of Best Union, says, “Security, particularly card data security, is of vital importance for processing solutions. We are extremely proud to have successfully passed the stringent PA-DSS validation process. PA-DSS provides that assurance of ultimate security and allows our clients peace of mind when implementing new payment processing systems or upgrading their existing system. It is of utmost importance that we continue, as we always have, to offer our clients the most up-to-date solutions regarding protecting customer data.”
By attaining this coveted certification, Best Union has taken actions beyond what is required by software developers to protect sensitive data and offer their clients ultimate protection. In addition, Best Union is able to provide remote updates as they are released to ensure continued compliance with the latest standards as they become available.
