A “Peak” at the Future of Pick-and-Choose Technology

Aug 01, 2009 -

The Pikes Peak Country Attractions Association is the first venue to install the latest iteration of OmniTicket’s popular Connect program.  With this new technology, Pikes Peak visitors can now pick and choose their own venues … customizing their experience into a single, all-in-one city pass.

The new technology makes it easier than ever for visitors to select and pay for the destinations they wish to visit.  The more venues they choose, the more money they will save – without paying for venues they don’t want to see.

“We decided to investigate a new and improved way for visitors to buy their tickets online and experience the wonderful attractions and activities this region has to offer.  This thought process is what led us to OmniTicket,” said Michele Carvell, Executive Director of the Pikes Peak Country Attractions Association.

“In this tough economy, it was important for us to offer greater flexibility to our guests.  And that’s what this new system is all about,” Carvell said.

Using the new Pikes Peak Pick-N-Choose Ticket, visitors are able to go online and select only the attractions they want to visit.  Each order can be customized by quantity and venue, with a real-time shopping cart that updates to display the cost and savings for each selection.  Once the ticket has been customized, visitors process their credit card and print a confirmation page to retrieve their all-in-one pass.

“Implementing pick-and-choose is really about partnering with the CVBs and Tourist Centers in each region,” said Rebecca McFarland, Project Lead for OmniTicket.  “We bring the technological expertise, but work with them to leverage their knowledge of the various venues.  Together, we create a solution that works for everyone – our customers and their guests.”

Pikes Peak is the latest among a growing list of worldwide cities to take advantage of OmniTicket’s Connect program.  However, it’s the first city to implement the new pick-and-choose technology, which means future clients can reap the benefits of this fully-developed solution for their destination.
