Celebrating the Holidays with Special Events

OmniTicket Network clients celebrated the 2011 winter holiday season with a variety of special ticketed events and performances.  The OmniTicket Network team was pleased to support online sales and rental of equipment for the annual Winter WonderFest at Chicago’s Navy Pier taking place from December 2nd through January 8th.  Visitors were able to buy tickets online to a variety of events and activities.  In the Big Easy the Celebration in the Oaks lasted from November 25th through January 1at the New Orleans Botanical Garden, Amusement Park, and Storyland City Park.  The event included holiday lights and new attractions with tickets available online!   Over at the Entergy IMAX® Theatre in New Orleans kids of all ages enjoyed an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole by buying tickets to the The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience! Tickets to this holiday themed film could be purchased online through December 25th.  We enjoyed celebrating the holiday season with our clients, and look forward to an exciting and successful 2012!

Dollywood and Gaylord to Build Attraction in Nashville

The Knoxville News-Sentinel reports that Dolly Parton and Gaylord Entertainment CEO Colin Reed announced plans to build the year-round attraction as part of a 114-acre (46-hectare) entertainment zone adjacent to the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The Dollywood Company will serve as operating partner for the park, which is scheduled to open in 2014. The project qualifies for economic development grants from the state, where tourism is the second-largest industry.
